I am delighted to have this opportunity to share with you the opportunities for students in Freebrough Academy, in the heart of East Cleveland.
The Academy opened in September 2010 and we at Freebrough relish the opportunity to provide the highest quality education in partnership with our sponsors. We want our students to be excited by learning and have the highest aspirations for themselves and their community.
Our specialism of Business and Enterprise is a real driver for our values, ethos and curriculum. We want to create a vibrant learning community in which young people are inspired and motivated to achieve excellence, whilst immersed in a positive, can do culture.
As an Academy we are passionate about raising standards of attainment for our students through an innovative curriculum, quality first teaching and learning and a swift and easy response to the needs of learners to ensure that support enables them to reach their full potential.

Stars in their Eyes
Thursday 15 October 2015 from 6.00pm in the Activities Hall. Freebrough staff are doing it again. They'll be dusting off their dancing shoes and best clobber to become their musical idols! Looking fierce they will battle it out and you the audience will decide the winner! An evening of entertainment not to be missed!
Tickets are £2 and are available from main reception or on the door.
Monday 19 October 2015 from 12.00pm until 7.00pm. This has been a richly rewarding experience for students, parents and tutors in previous years. Due to demand this year we are hosting two Academic tutoring days.
They will involve:
• The opportunity to have a one to one meeting with your child’s tutor. In this meeting you will be able to discuss their academic progress and attitude to learning
• It will also allow you to celebrate their successes and identify areas for development
The Academy will be closed to students on
Monday 2 & Tuesday 3 November 2015
to allow staff to participate in professional development.
