Latest Edition of Freebrough Flyer

ff-novemberOur November issue of the Freebrough Flyer, a 12 page supplement in the Coastal View & Moors News is now available to view online. To view, please click the thumbnail of the front page of the flyer to open a PDF version. The flyer includes lots of great news stories about what has been happening during the first term of the academic year in Freebrough Academy, Post 16 @ Freebrough and our feeder primary schools. Also included are our Superstar Students for each faculty and we hope that parents/carers will congratulate their child on the recognition of their hard work and effort.

Thank you to all the staff members and primaries who contributed, the next edition of the Freebrough Flyer will be available to read during the spring term.

Festive Fundraising


Over this half term tutor groups from the DICE faculty have been organising various activities to raise money. Half of the profits will be donated to the Mayor’s Christmas Sleep Out fund.

Councillor Barry Hunt, Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland, will be sleeping out on Redcar High Street on Christmas Eve and Christmas Night, from 9.00 pm to 8.00 am, to highlight the plight of the homeless.

Showing PRIDE in their uniform


To acknowledge how students have been showing PRIDE in their presentation and how they attend the Academy; each student in full school uniform was given a raffle ticket over a period of a week by their tutor. The raffle was drawn and we would like to congratulate Robyn Y7 and Macie Y8 who were both rewarded with a £25 voucher in assembly, as a ‘well done’ for looking so smart.
