Freebrough Academy has the highest possible expectations for its students in relation to academic achievement, behaviour, attendance and engagement in the life of the school.

In partnership with our Sponsors, Teesside University, Prior Pursglove College, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and our Lead Education Partners, Redcar and Cleveland College we aim to provide all students with the best opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes that will enable them to be successful learners.

We are committed to providing high quality teaching that supports high quality learning. We want our students to enjoy coming to the academy and have the skills to play a full and active part in its developments. It is our aspiration to be an Outstanding Academy that has the confidence of parents, students and the wider community.

We will work in partnership with feeder primary schools to ensure students make a smooth transition at 11. We will ensure we take every opportunity to build upon the excellent practice in those schools and enable students to make progress.

Students will have a unique opportunity to work at the University with higher education students and use the state of the art facilities there to improve their learning. Opportunities to access the expertise and resources at Prior Pursglove and Redcar and Cleveland College will be available to students as part of the curriculum offer. This partnership will enhance and broaden the new post 16 offer at Freebrough in 2011.
